Police are searching for a man they say shoved and robbed a woman in Tremont.

Authorities say the man approached the 55-year-old on Dec. 16 just before 8 p.m. in front of 1938 Prospect Ave.

The robber pushed the woman to the ground before taking her purse and removing approximately $500 from her wallet.

Police say the man ran from the scene and was last seen traveling westbound aboard a Bx36 bus wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a dark coat.

The woman was not injured.
