Almost 30 teams and clubs at Manhattan College worked to hold their annual Halloween celebration event for children in the community Friday.
The campus in Riverdale invited children into the quad and classrooms for some educational activities. Organizers say each station is based on the student organization behind it.
The event was put together by the honor society on campus and Kappa Delta Pi. Organizers say they spent months preparing for it.
“It's for the community,” said organizer Maeve Ammirati. “These are the kids that we see every day walking around in the neighborhood. So, we just want them to get the best experience."
Organizers say they expect 200 to 300 children to attend until the event ends at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
