Maria Regina High School's all-girls marching band is taking on the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade this weekend.

The marching band is the only all-girls marching band to perform in New York City's big parade. The girls will join thousands of marchers and bands from across the New York metro area.

The New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade is the oldest and largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the world. It dates back to 1762. As many as two million people are expected to line both sides of the parade's route from 44th Street to 79th Street.

The Maria Regina High School marching band will also perform at the Yonkers St. Patrick's Day Parade on McLean Avenue on March 23.
