Martin, Sierra drop out of 11th District special election race
Two candidates have dropped out of the race to be the next city council member for the 11th District.
Abigail Martin and Marcos Sierra took to Twitter Tuesday to announce they will not be running in a March special election.
“Since entering the race, my focus has been winning the June 2021 Democratic Party primary and serving a full term as the northwest Bronx’s City Council member,” Martin says. “That is still my focus. I will not be running in a March special election.”
Marcos Sierra, similarly, said that he is focusing his efforts on the June primary election for the safety of his family, his team and the safety of the district.
