Mayor Adams: Affordable housing to receive $2 billion investment

The announcement comes as the city continues to face a housing crisis.

Mayor Eric Adams announced Tuesday a $2 billion investment into affordable housing for New Yorkers.
The investment supports the mayor's goal of building 500,000 new homes by 2032,  transforming NYCHA and combatting the city's affordability crisis. In total, the mayor has committed a record $26 billion in housing capital in the current 10-year plan.
The announcement comes as the city continues to face a housing crisis and the mayor advocating for passage of the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity. The zoning proposal is expected to add more housing in every neighborhood.
