5h agoMayor Eric Adams says the city will soon open a seventh humanitarian emergency response and relief center in Long Island City, Queens.
The mayor says the center is temporary and aims to combat the influx of asylum seekers.
Adams made his case on the issue among other concerns during Tin Cup Day in Albany this week.
He says the center will provide 144 rooms to help families with children and offer resources so they can get to their desired destination if it's not in New York City.
