A plan to add a new neighborhood to The Bronx is getting some changes.
Mayor De Blasio's housing plan was announced in May and since has launched 15 neighborhood studies, including one at Jerome and Cromwell avenues. The study has expanded its target to 73 blocks up from the initial 53.
The Department of City Planning hopes to make big changes along Jerome and Cromwell avenues, but first it needs help from the community. Officials say they are seeking feedback on the project from the community so they are holding a walking tour this Saturday at East 167th Street at the concourse.
Officials say the main goal is to increase commercial growth and create and maintain open space, affordable housing and transportation.
