City officials, community leaders and health professionals hosted a town hall meeting Monday to discuss the latest on the Legionnaires' outbreak in the Bronx.

Officials say they planned the event at Hostos Community College in order to spread awareness about how the disease is spread and treated.

They also want to let the public know what the city is doing to keep everyone safe, and what is being done to prevent another outbreak.

Mayor de Blasio and city health officials say the disease has been contained, and that no new cases have been reported since Aug. 3. Officials say 124 cases have been reported, and of those hospitalized and treated, 94 have been discharged. So far, 12 people have died from the disease.

Health officials say they're confident they've narrowed down the area where the outbreak began to one of the first five cooling towers in the South Bronx that tested positive for legionella. They say all of those towers have been disinfected.
