Drivers in Melrose are still experiencing problems with potholes left behind from the harsh winter.
Viewers sent in photos of a pothole-covered East 156th Street. The craters are on both sides of the road and span about an entire block near Concourse Village East.
The torn-up part of the street is also right in front of two schools, forcing cars and school buses to experience a bumpy ride. Many people say they have called in complaints to 311, but are still waiting for repairs.
The Department of Transportation reports that it has repaired more than 241,000 potholes this winter-maintenance season so far.
A DOT spokesperson says that the agency is aware of the situation and expects to make repairs within the next few days.
