STORM WATCH: Snow arrives overnight ahead of wintry mix early Thursday

HEADLINES:
Snow arrives overnight, with temperatures in the upper 20s. Expect about 1 inch of snow before snow transitions to sleet and freezing rain by 9 a.m. followed by rain. Precipitation ends by lunch time. Be prepared for a slow and slippery commute, with icy spots.
Drier weather returns by Friday, with seasonable temperatures, although it will be breezy during the afternoon.
Another storm approaches this weekend bringing the chance for snow on Saturday evening, changing to a wintry mix at night and rain by Sunday. Sunday afternoon will dry out.
Next week turns a little bit colder, with more chances for wintry weather Tuesday through Thursday.

OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold, with lows near 27 degrees. Snow develops after midnight, with one inch or so expected by daybreak. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
THURSDAY: A wintry mix of snow and sleet in the morning, changing to rain by late morning. Rain showers taper off after lunch time. Highs near 40 degrees. Breezy at times, with southeast to northwest winds. Clearing skies at night with lows near 38 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and breezy, with highs near 44 degrees. Lows near 24 degrees.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny, with snow developing by the evening. Highs near 38 degrees. Snow at night changing to a wintry mix by Sunday morning. Lows near 29 degrees.
SUNDAY: A light wintry mix early in the morning changing to rain. Rain tapers off by the afternoon. Highs near 43 degrees. Lows near 22 degrees.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and cold, with highs near 37 degrees. Lows near 25 degrees.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, with the chance for snow and a wintry mix. Highs near 36 degrees. Lows near 25 degrees.
