FORECAST:
The January thaw retires as the milder air, the last few days, retreats southward from whence it came. Clouds will be collecting tonight. And because of this insulating blanket the temperatures will not be as cold. Looking for lows to be in the low- to-mid-30s. The normal night time low is 26 degrees.
While tomorrow will be again on the milder side of the temperature spectrum, changes are brewing. Namely we watch a slow-moving weather system crawl through the area. What this system lacks in moisture it'll make up for in cold when it passes.
The one issue I don't like with this particular weather feature is the timing in which it moves in and out of New Jersey. Primarily overnight. In the wee hours of Thursday morning. While this has a somewhat meaningless impact on the area, it is still possible the on and off rain, that eventually turns to passing slight snowfall, could create for some spotty icy patches. Please use a little more caution for you early morning commuters.
Okay, about that snow. Will we have to shovel? NO! Will it be a problem driving? I think not. Just watch for a few icy patches from the dropping temperatures. Will I have to dust off my car? Yeah, you might. Not a big hassle, just give a few extra moments in the morning routine to possibly deal with this slight wintry slap.
