Moderna completes submission for full approval of COVID-19 vaccine

Moderna announced Wednesday that it has completed its submission to the Food and Drug Administration for full approval of it two-dose COVID vaccine. It aims to be the second COVID-19 vaccine fully approved by the FDA following Pfizer and BioNTech's approval on Monday. Both companies have begun submitting data for full FDA approval for the third booster dose of its vaccine. Currently, Pfizer's booster as well as Moderna's normal two-dose vaccine and booster are available under emergency use authorization for people 18 and up in the United States.
Apple is currently testing an upgraded iPhone 13 feature that would allow users to unlock their phones with Face ID while wearing a face mask or foggy glasses. Apple leaker Jon Prosser reports that Apple has provided prototypes for some of its employees to test and has had them use Face ID while wearing masks or foggy glasses. He added that it would not be available with the iPhone 13 upon its initial release, but can be added in a software update or with a future iPhone model.
Blue Origin is ready for liftoff once again. The upcoming launch of the New Shepard rocket will be an uncrewed mission, and will be the first since Jeff Bezos reached space last month. The mission will contain 18 commercial payloads, 11 of which are NASA sponsored, but that's not all - postcards submitted by kids via Blue Origin's non-profit Club of the Future will also be heading to space. The mission is scheduled to lift Thursday from the company's West Texas launch site.
