A Morris Park family is keeping a closer watch of their home after they say a man was caught on camera peeping through their window.
Lauren and David Varenne’s security camera shows a man walking up to their home over a week ago and peering in before walking away.
The couple says neighbors have seen the same man going up and down their street and peeping into their homes too.
The family says they are concerned for the safety of their 12-year-old son, who says he was in the living room and made eye contact with the alleged trespasser.
The Varennes say they called police, but officers said they couldn't do much since no crime was committed. Police have increased patrols around the neighborhood since the incident.
For anyone concerned about break-ins, the NYPD offers “security surveys” where an officer can visit your home, inspect your doors, windows, locks, lighting and other things to make sure you don't become a victim.
