A Morrisania mother is begging for relief after dealing with mold, a broken apartment door and other issues at her apartment.

Elvina Mckinney has lived inside the apartment at 1120 Fox St. for about a year. She tells News 12 the problems began back in December and despite reaching out to 311, her landlord and the super multiple times, she was ignored.

"It goes to voicemail when I call, I can text him he'll read the text and it's no reply, and I tried just fixing it myself, by praying but it's not working," said Mckinney.

Elvina says the landlord finally responded when she told them News 12 would be stopping by, but that they only put "Band-Aids" on the problems.

The landlord said by text message that he was not made aware of any mold complaints and that he would come to her apartment Saturday to test for it.

He also says he fixed the mailbox two months ago and was not made aware it was broken again.
