A Morrisania school showed off its brand new cafeteria with some help from a special guest.
The Morris Educational Center unveiled its lunch room's new $30,000 makeover Tuesday. The changes were thanks in part to the American Dairy Association and the New York Jets.
Former Jet Tony Richardson made an appearance.
"When you get a chance to come to a beautiful school like this in the Bronx, and to see our young people excited about fitness, excited about nutrition, it's really, really a great thing," says Richardson.
The old cafeteria, which once had barren walls, has been revamped with motivational words and bright colors.
In addition to the physical changes, the school is implementing a new fitness program called "Fuel Up and Play 60," which aims at getting kids to eat healthier and promotes being active 60 minutes a day.
The school is also working to incorporate healthier foods in school meals.
