WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
A storm system brings a wintry mix and even some light snow showers to some areas. Many will experience rain/sleet early while some spots north could see a light dusting tonight. The event will be very brief and is expected to end around midnight. There may be a little snow to brush off on Monday morning but not much is expected from this system. The rest of Monday will be a cloudy and very pleasant day with light winds, temperatures in the 40s, but the sun will be absent. These mild temperatures will carry into Tuesday early before a shift in winds allows for colder air to move in Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. There is another storm system that will approach the region Wednesday night into Thursday that will bring a mixture of snow/rain that will be all-rain by mid-morning on Thursday. The rest of the day is expected to be a soggy one due to the steady moderate rainfall, so this will be the day to keep in mind for any travel delays, slippery roads and the umbrella and other rain gear. FORECAST OVERNIGHT: Cloudy with wintry mix ending. Lows in the low-30s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, very pleasant and dry. Highs in the mid-40s. Lows in near 40 degrees.
TUESDAY: Sun and clouds, mild in the morning and becoming colder in the afternoon. Highs in the low-40s. Lows in the mid-20s. WEDNESDAY: Cloudy and colder. Highs in the low-30s. Lows near 30 degrees. THURSDAY: Morning wintry mix changes to snow in the late morning to early afternoon. Steady moderate rain throughout the day and mild. Highs in the upper-40s. Lows in the mid-30s.
