A Soundview community is joining together in an effort to end violence.
Bronx residents returned to a playground Saturday where 12-year-old Isaiah Osbourne was shot in the leg in April 2017.
Osbourne's mother, Tricia Croal, held an event at the same playground that featured free food, games, music and a cleanup effort.
"My son got shot last year while playing basketball in the park so I decided to create an event for the kids to have activities to play with," Croal said. "I always wanted to do something for the kids in the neighborhood."
Since her son was shot, Croal has secured five cameras for the park in an attempt to make it safer.
