The family and friends of Michael Hernandez Junior gathered at Barclays Center to honor his life one month after he was stabbed and killed near Barclays Center.
They lit candles at 9:01 p.m., when they say Hernandez took his last breath.
News 12 previously reported Hernandez was stabbed multiple times in the stomach near Barclays Center and died on March 14th.
Police have since arrested 18-year-old Noah Rentas in connection to the death. Police say they're still searching for others wanted in connection to the death.
News 12 spoke with Hernandez's mother Marisol Miranda, who says Michael was a bright light and she won't stop until justice is fully served.
"I want them to turn themselves in. At least that will show me that you have a little remorse for what you did to my son. That way, when the day comes that I have that remorse and forgive you for what you did taking my kid away from me, because I can never hug my son again. And I'm never going to be a grandmother again. And my son will always be 27 for the rest of his life," said Miranda.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is encouraged to call them.
