Mother robbed of $40,000 worth of jewelry in front of her children in Bushwick, police say

The mother handed over $40,000 worth of jewelry before the suspect fled in a gray SUV.

The NYPD is asking for help identifying the suspect wanted for robbing a mother in front of her kids in Bushwick.

According to investigators, the 40-year-old mother was walking home on Oct. 24 at around 1 p.m. in the Central and Putnam avenues area. She was approached by an unknown man who threatened to harm her and her children and demanded whatever jewelry she had inside her home.

The mother handed over $40,000 worth of jewelry and the suspect fled in a gray SUV.

The suspect is still at large.
