A 79-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a shooting in University Heights, according to police and law enforcement sources. One person is now in custody.
The shooting happened around 1:23 p.m. near West 183rd Street and University Avenue.
Police sources tell News 12 the 26-year-old victim was involved in the shooting, though authorities have not confirmed whether he is the individual in custody.
