Reports: Boyfriend wanted in connection to deaths of mother, son in Belmont
The search is on for the boyfriend of a mother found dead alongside her son in a Belmont apartment, according to reports.
Police say they responded to a 911 call of a "past assault" inside 775 E. 185th St. There they found a woman and teen boy dead inside an apartment around 3:30 p.m.
The victims have been identified as 51-year-old Marisol Ortiz and 14-year-old Alanche Delorbe. News 12 is told that the victims are a mother and her son.
According to police, both victims had apparent head trauma. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources say a possible weapon used to kill them was an exercise weight, and that the mother may also have been stabbed.
The bodies were found in separate rooms. Ortiz was found lying on the floor in the bedroom, while her son was found in a bed inside another room.
A heavy police presence was reported inside and outside the apartment, where an officer was standing guard.
No arrests have been made at this time, police say.
