Mount Saint Michael Academy senior basketball player Mike Green has made his college decision.
Standing at just 5 feet 10 inches, Green has struggled to not be overlooked in his career. Green entered his senior year without a Division I offer.
"I kept thinking, 'What am I gonna do, what am I gonna do?'" says Green. "There were times when I was thinking like, maybe I should just start posting highlight videos and sending it to coaches, but there was also times when my coaches was telling me that I am good enough."
The hard work paid off. Green visited Bryant University recently, and committed to the Rhode Island school about a week later.
"Once they offered me, I automatically said to myself, being me was good enough." says Green. "Not trying to be somebody I'm not. Every time I walk through the halls, I'm getting high fives."
Green is the first 2019 commit for Bryant's new head coach Jared Grasso. After one more season at Mount Saint Michael, he'll join the Bulldogs.
