The unsolved murder at Gilgo Beach will be the focus of a new movie debuting on Lifetime tonight.

Kim Delaney stars as Mari Gilbert, the mother of Shannan Gilbert, in “The Long Island Serial Killed: A Mother’s Hunt for Justice.”

The film follows the murders that happened along Long Island’s south shore.

Delaney says they did CG for the movie so it looks like the actors are on Gilgo Beach even though the film was shot in Canada.

“They did an amazing job to make it look exactly like Long Island,” Delaney says.

She says that she hopes that the killers are caught and that the women who were killed are respected.

The movie premiere at 8 p.m.
