An MTA bus operator who uses YouTube as a way to inspire people was diagnosed with COVID-19 and used his channel to document his sickness.
Jason Felix was diagnosed with the coronavirus back in early March.
“I said something is wrong with me…I would feel my airwaves literally stop. My back felt like a truck hit me,” he says.
The Bronx resident runs a YouTube channel called Brightside and documented his fight with COVID-19 in the hope of inspiring others.
He hoped that if he shared his experience and how he put his health first, it would encourage others to do the same.
Felix recorded everything from first getting sick, getting tested and when he was finally able to return to work.
He hoped if he recorded his experience with the virus, it might help other bus operators come forward about their illness too.
"I want people to see how many of us are COVID positive,” he says.
