Colleagues of a slain Bronx EMT today honored the MTA officer who captured her accused killer.

Daniel McDade, an MTA police officer, accepted a plaque from FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro in a ceremony at EMS Station 26 on Boston Road, where the victim worked.

McDade helped subdue Jose Gonzalez, 25, after police say he stole an ambulance and killed FDNY EMT Yadira Arroyo with it on March 16.

McDade says he was on his way to work when he witnessed Gonzalez run Arroyo over. The off-duty officer pulled Gonzalez from the driver seat and restrained him until police arrived.

Gonzalez pleaded not guilty last week to manslaughter charges.
