The MTA is opening a public comment period for the controversial congestion pricing plan.

The public will be able to submit comments via email, mail, phone, or fax through March 11.

There will also be four in-person sessions held at the MTA headquarters in Manhattan. They are to be held on: Feb. 29, at 6 p.m., March 1, at 10 a.m., March 4, at 10 a.m., and March 4, at 6 p.m.

The goal of the plan is to reduce congestion and raise money for much needed infrastructure repairs. As of right now, the plan imposes a $15 toll on cars entering Manhattan south of 60th Street. Trucks could be charged anywhere from $24-$36, and taxis and ride share services will face surcharges.

Once the comment period is over, the MTA Bridges and Tunnels will review the feedback before making any final decisions.
