An MTA worker was hospitalized following an accident on train tracks near the Yankee Stadium on Friday.
Officials say the worker was overseeing track work around 3 a.m. when the accident happened.
The exact circumstances of the accident are unclear, but News 12 is told the 54-year-old man suffered severe burns and was taken to Harlem Hospital.
MTA President Andy Byford told the media that this accident will be thoroughly looked into.
The MTA adds that the injured worker has 12 years of experience with the agency and is expected to be OK.
