Opening statements in the murder case against the man accused of fatally shooting 16-year-old Sincear Williams got underway Monday, nearly four years since the incident.
Kameron Wallace is charged with second-degree murder in the death of the teenager. Prosecutors say on Dec. 28, 2017, Wallace opened fire outside a Bronx catering hall during a Sweet 16 party, fatally striking Williams in the neck.
Williams' family says it's been a slow process getting justice for their loved one because of court delays and the pandemic.
Garcia says she will take the stand for the prosecution.
"Sincear was loyal, he was a great son," says Garcia. "Lovable, sweet, humble. I couldn't have asked for a better son, and I miss him so much."
