A mother is calling for justice after she says her son was beaten to death and left to die in his own home in Claremont.
Police say 37-year-old Michael Woody was found unresponsive in his apartment on Nov. 16.
He was pronounced brain dead two days later at the hospital.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, but Woody's mother says it was murder.
Thea Woody, Michael's mother, says the 37-year-old recently moved into 1639 Fulton Ave. with his girlfriend.
She says she fears a rough patch in their relationship is what may have led to her son's death.
Detectives told Ms. Woody the building's surveillance captured two men walk into Woody's apartment on the day he was found unresponsive.
Neighbors say they witnessed Woody's girlfriend leave the apartment with the door open - then, the two men walked in.
Police released a wanted flyer with three individuals, one woman and two men, wanted for felony assault.
Ms. Woody identified the woman in the poster as his son's girlfriend, one man as her father and the third man is unknown.
The image released by police shows the unknown man holding some sort of metal object in his hand.
Ms. Woody believes Michael was beaten to death.
"My son's life mattered, it mattered." said Ms. Woody.
