Nassau County firefighters are sending help to Ukraine.
The Association of Fire Districts in Nassau shipped out over 4,000 pounds of medical supplies to the country.
The shipment includes gloves, bandages, first aid kits, crutches and more.
"They're making a difference with the most needed supplies of all--medical supplies to help those injured on the battlefield, civilians being attacked," says Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino.
The project is the work of the Terry Farrell Foundation and St. Vladimir's Parish Center in Uniondale.
