Neighborhood Charter School Bronx cuts ribbon on new school

The Neighborhood Charter School Bronx in Mott Haven celebrated the opening of the new school with a ribbon-cutting.

The school recently moved into its new space with bright classrooms, a cafeteria, science labs and a full gymnasium.

About 110 students attend Neighborhood Charter School Bronx, which offers a special program that caters to high-functioning students with autism.

Plans are in place to add one grade over the course of the next five years to accommodate about 620 students from grades K-8.
