Neighbors who have previously complained about a trash problem at Soundview Park say their garbage woes are continuing.
News 12 first spoke to the Parks Department a few weeks ago about the issue. It said that despite many job cuts, it was doing its best to keep the park clean.
But this weekend, neighbors who were out celebrating the unofficial end of summer said there is more of the same, with trash bags throughout the park. Some said the park was in better shape back before the pandemic.
Reached for comment last time, the Parks Department said it was dealing with budget cuts and increased park usage. News 12 has reached out to the department for an update.
