Jay-Z visits new Brooklyn Public Library exhibit highlighting his legendary influence, history

Brooklyn-born artist Jay-Z was honored Friday with a huge art installation at the Brooklyn Public Library's central branch.
"The Book of Hov" is the library's latest exhibition dedicated entirely to Jay-Z. The experience starts before visitors enter, with the rappers' lyrics taking over the building. The exhibit features thousands of pieces showcasing his life.
Through hosting the free multimedia interactive exhibit, the library hopes to inspire the next generation.
Jay-Z arrived at the Brooklyn Public Library on Friday afternoon to take in the exhibit dedicated to his decades of hip-hop impact.
"It's really important that the exhibit be available to people from all walks of life," says Christine Schonhart, the director of the library.
From his albums to his music videos and scenes from the past, the library wants people to fully immerse themselves in Jay-Z's life.
The exhibit is open during regular library hours and is anticipated to be open through the fall.
