A ribbon-cutting was held Friday for a new Burlington store on Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York.
The first 100 customers received a $10 bonus card. Store employees say they will be handing out more on Saturday. On Sunday, customers can get a free Burlington umbrella while supplies last.
The store also donated $5,000 to P.S. 306 as part of its long-standing partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org.
"Through Adopt-A-Classroom in Burlington, we were provided with this check for $5,000. They'll be shared amongst all the teachers in my school so they can buy supplies for the classroom,” said P.S. 306 principal Yasmin Moodie.
“We're happy with the results. We're happy with the grand opening. Over 200 people at the gate this morning. So, fantastic reception from the community,” said store manager Roy Mcginnis.
The new store brings the total number of Burlington locations in the state to 58.
