A new COVID-19 testing site has officially opened in Bushwick as local leaders continue to fight for more sites across the city.
Assemblymember Maritza Davila says the opening of this site is a step in the right direction but that it is just the start.
Wyckoff Medical Center partnered with SOMO Care to offer testing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the next two weeks at United Revival Mennonite Church on Melrose Street between Knickerbocker Avenue and Wilson Street.
They say Latinos are one of the hardest-hit communities and that the only way to stop the spread is to get people tested.

News 12 is told people don’t have to have symptoms to get tested at the site, which is expected to be open at least for the next two weeks.
