A new park is open on the southern tip of City Island after a decade of work.
The new park at Belden Point is right next to a long-standing seafood restaurant.
For years, the space was just a dead-end in the street.
Then community members and local leaders pushed for the installation of a park a decade ago.
State Sen. Jeff Klein, who secured almost $500,000 for the project, says he's keeping an ear open for ideas on how to improve the new park.
