New plans could mean less of those romantic horse carriage rides in Manhattan.
Mayor Bill de Blasio previously promised to ban the practice, saying it is too dangerous for horses to be on Manhattan's streets.
However, city councilmembers did not get on board with the idea.
The new plan suggests the horses be restricted to Central Park. It also includes reducing the number of carriages to around 70.
There is no official word on if the City Council will vote on the legislation.
