New Yorkers celebrated the grand opening of Primark’s newest store, located in Downtown Brooklyn.  

Hundreds of shoppers were seen flocking to the store, making a line that wrapped around the building. 

The location of this new Primark is at City Point. It is Primark’s second Brooklyn location. The Europe-based brand has spent the last few years expanding their sales in the U.S. 

“I want everyone to be able to come find affordable fashion for themselves, but I also want them to see themselves back in the store as well,” said Primark’s U.S. President Kevin Tulip. “Whether that's our use of visuals and mannequins around the store, I want everyone to see this as a place that they can come and shop for them." 

As the countdown to Christmas is on, some shoppers made the most of the grand opening to mark some gifts off those wish lists.  

Tulip says they’re looking to continue Primark’s expansion with potential store openings in upstate New York and on Long Island.
