New Milford is now home to Connecticut's newest Sonic location.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the fast food chain and the Sunoco Travel Plaza on Route 7 Saturday.

Along with restaurant and gas station, the plaza includes a 7-Eleven and Tesla charging station.

As part the ribbon cutting, masks and hand sanitizer wipes were given out.

Sonic will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in September before switching to its permanent hours. Due to construction, only the drive-thru is currently open.
