New video has been released of a man police say violently assaulted a woman inside a Bronx park Sunday morning.

Police say the man stabbed a 29-year-old woman multiple times and attempted to rape her inside Shoelace Park around 3 a.m. 

According to detectives, the victim was hanging out at the park when the man approached her, and they proceeded to have a conversation. The chat quickly got aggressive and that’s when police say the suspect began to stab her multiple times on her body and tried to sexually assault her before running off.

News 12 is told the woman is currently recovering at the hospital.

Authorities are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
