New York City has announced that it will now allow pre-kindergarten applications until Wednesday, March 9.
A survey shows that nine out of 10 New York City pre-K families are in favor of the program.
Attending pre-K in the city is free, and the director of Bronx Park East Elementary Preparatory Academy says that the extension of the deadline is useful for helping families that are preparing for school.
Signups can be done online, or in-person at a Family Welcome Center.
