The Landmarks Preservation Commission decided that a row of 20th century buildings in Flatbush can now be called the Melrose Parkside Historic District.
It is the
155th historic district in
New York City.
The commission
voted to recognize the row of single- and two-family duplex houses for their
historic and architectural value.
Officials say
that the 38 buildings have maintained their historic features besides a few
renovations such as doors, windows and roofing material.
