It’s been nearly
a year since indoor dining was completely shut down, and since then restaurants
have been through varying degrees of restrictions.
Before today,
indoor capacity for restaurants was at 25%.
The normal maximum occupancy for Parkview Diner in Coney Island is 225,
so they will have a little over 100 customers inside at a time.
There will
still be restrictions for those looking to eat inside.
Visitors will
have their temperatures checked before entering, and they will need to leave
their information for contact tracing.
Tables still
must be six feet apart, and masks are required when not seated at a table.
The manager at Parkview Diner says they are going to follow restrictions
to make customers feel safe and comfortable.
There is also an 11 p.m. curfew for all restaurants in the city.
Parkview Diner is counting on delivery and takeout
orders to help them during those hours.
