A new state legislation called Ava's Law is promising to support women recovering from a miscarriage or stillbirth, officials say.
The law is expected to direct the Department of Health to provide pamphlets with information on mental health care, milk banks, gynecological support and postpartum doula services.
Lawmakers say national research shows more than half of women who experience infant loss suffer depression.
