Nursing home workers across the city are calling for fairer contracts.
Workers and union members held an informational picket line over stalled contract negotiations with for-profit nursing homeowners for fairer pay, job security and health benefits at the Pinnacle Nursing and Rehab Center.
It was organized by the 1199SEIU and United Healthcare Workers East.
Nursing home workers in the city are picketing at different facilities and voting on whether they will go on strike.
The union says the roles of nursing home workers have been amplified by the pandemic, but that they are not given the proper resources to provide better care for the residents in these nursing homes.
If contract negotiations do not move forward, members will be voting on if they will send a 10-day notice to strike.
