Bronx residents gathered together to bring relief to Puerto Rico and Mexico.
The New York Hispanic Clergy Organization hosted a donation drive Saturday at the corner of Southern Boulevard and Aldus Street to help victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the earthquake that hit Mexico.
The natural disasters hit home for many in the borough who have family in both regions.
"I am still missing a lot of family that I don't know about in Puerto Rico," said Alma Padro. "I am very worried about you guys."
Several trucks full of non-perishable food, clothes and other supplies were packed to deliver for victims of the disasters.
Volunteers say they also collected barrels of medicine, which they say are crucially needed right now.
Millions in Puerto Rico still remain without power, while the death toll in Mexico continues to rise.
