A New York City actor, writer and producer is going one on one with News 12 to talk about a new series on Amazon Prime.
"You know, I was listening to Metallica and Iron Maiden when I was a kid. That got me into wanting to play guitar and be a rock star. I was like, 'I want to do this. This is awesome' and I used to play with a wiffleball bat in Queens," said actor Lorenzo Antonucci.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Antonucci was the lead guitarist of the metal band Sworn Enemy.
"We signed to Electra Records and then we got on tour with Ozzy and Ozzfest, and then we started touring nationally and then worldwide."
Now he is acting in a show about the music industry, Paradise City, which is on Amazon Prime.
"That's the most authentic modern day rock show we could have. It's pretty much a lot of the truth that happens in this business," Antonucci explains.
And he has a lot of other projects coming soon.
"I just shot a movie. I shot three movies with Bruce Willis back to back this year. One is with John Travolta. One is with John Malkovich."
While he is busy in Hollywood, he still makes sure to come home to New York to check in on his dad.
"I wash his clothes, clean the house for him. I do everything I can."
His message to anyone wanting to pursue any dream: First you have to want it and then you have to go get it.
