9h agoNew York City Mental Health Committee Chair Lina Lee discussed her plan Monday to address the city’s mental health crisis.
Lee said she wants to work on legislation with state officials.
“When Mayor Eric Adams appointed me chair, I heard from City Hall and from exhausted advocates and ordinary New Yorkers and it’s really that level of frustration of many years of disinvestment in mental health that sort of led us here with this roadmap,” she said.
Lee wants to invest more in housing and economic security for residents.
