The commissioner of the NYC Parks Department has announced that she is stepping down from her position.
Susan Donoghue was appointed in February of 2022. Her three-and-a-half-year term produced significant changes.
Officials say she completed 340 capital products representing more than $1.1 billion in investments to city neighborhoods.
In a farewell statement, Donoghue highlighted her Vital Parks of All initiative, which improved public safety at city pools.
