The New York City Department of Sanitation says all New York City properties with one to nine residential units must use a bin with a secure lid for trash beginning Nov. 12.

Currently, the pre-order window has closed for the official NYC Bin.

Anyone who placed an order prior to Oct. 1 will have their order delivered by Nov. 12.

All other orders will be delivered on a rolling basis.
